To put a coin in a cache and track it, you must ACTIVATE your coin.  Prerequisite:  You must be a member of Geocaching.com, signup for a FREE basic membership at https://www.geocaching.com/Membership/default.aspx.  Activate your coin: Login to geocaching.com, go to http://www.geocaching.com/track/activate.aspx, enter  1)the GC number printed on the coin and  2)your ACTIVATION CODE.
